# What parts of the template can I edit?

You can edit **only the parts of the template that are permitted**.
If a field or element is editable, you can change it.
If it is locked, it cannot be edited.

### How to know what you can edit
* Editable fields are **active and selectable**
* Non-editable elements are **locked or disabled**
* You cannot unlock restricted parts yourself
The editor shows exactly what is allowed.

### Important to know
* Editing permissions are defined by the template itself
* You do not need special permissions to edit allowed fields
* Locked elements are not an error — they are intentional
* If something can’t be edited, it means it is not permitted

### What to do if you need more flexibility
If the template does not allow the changes you need:
* Consider creating a **special campaign**
* Or choose a different template that better fits your needs
