# What happens if my payment method fails?

If your payment method fails, the system will **retry the charge several times**.
If the charge still cannot be completed, the **ongoing campaign will be paused**.

### How this works
* The platform attempts to charge the linked payment method automatically
* If the charge fails:
    * the system retries the payment multiple times
* If all retries fail:
    * the online campaign is **paused**
    * spending is stopped to prevent further charges

### What you should do
If your campaign is paused due to payment failure:
* update or fix your **payment method**
* ensure sufficient funds are available
* once payment is resolved, the campaign can be continued

### Important to know
* Payment retries are automatic
* Campaign pausing happens only after repeated failures
* Paused campaigns do not continue spending
* Billing issues affect **online campaigns only**
