What am I allowed to advertise with co-op funds?

You can use co-op funds only for advertising activities approved by the brand, using brand-compliant templates, channels, and formats defined in the platform.

If a campaign or asset is not allowed, the system will forward it to an approval process.

What you are allowed to advertise

In general, co-op funds can be used for:

  • Brand-approved advertising campaigns
  • Products, services, or offers defined by the brand
  • Campaigns created from approved templates
  • Channels enabled by the brand (e.g. digital, print, social, etc.)
  • Local promotions, as long as they follow brand rules

All allowed options are visible and selectable in the platform.

What is not allowed

Co-op funds cannot be used for:

  • ❌ Non-brand or personal advertising
  • ❌ Campaigns created outside approved templates (unless explicitly allowed)
  • ❌ Channels or formats not enabled for your budget
  • ❌ Content that violates brand guidelines or legal rules
  • ❌ Campaigns outside the valid budget period

If something is not allowed, it will:

  • not appear as an option, or
  • be rejected during approval.

How the platform enforces these rules

The platform helps you stay compliant by:

  • Showing only approved templates
  • Locking restricted fields in the editor
  • Allowing only eligible budgets to be selected
  • Routing campaigns through mandatory approvals
  • Blocking submission if rules are not met

This protects both you and the brand.

Brand-specific rules

Important to know:

  • Each brand defines its own co-op rules
  • Allowed channels and formats may differ per brand
  • Budget types may be restricted to specific campaign types
  • Approval requirements may vary

Always check rules per brand, not globally.

How to be sure your campaign is allowed

To avoid rejections:

  1. Start campaign creation from Explore / Templates
  2. Use only available templates and channels
  3. Follow editor restrictions
  4. Read rejection reasons carefully if returned

When to ask for clarification

Contact support or your brand representative if:

  • You need a custom campaign not available in templates
  • You are unsure whether a channel is eligible
  • A campaign is rejected and the reason is unclear
