Can I cancel a campaign?
Yes — but only while the campaign is in Draft.
Once a campaign is submitted, it cannot be cancelled.
When cancellation is possible
You can cancel (delete) a campaign if:
- the campaign status is Draft
- the campaign has not been submitted for review
Draft campaigns can be removed without any impact or cost.
When cancellation is not possible
You cannot cancel a campaign if:
- it has already been submitted
- it is under review or in progress
- a reimbursement has been created or processed
After submission, the campaign follows the defined workflow and cannot be stopped or withdrawn.
Important distinction: Pausing online campaigns
Even though submitted campaigns cannot be cancelled, online campaigns can be paused at any time, including after they have started.
- Pausing an online campaign immediately stops delivery
- No further media costs will occur while paused
- The campaign remains in the system and can be resumed later
This applies to online channels only (e.g. Google, Meta, YouTube).
Important to know
- Cancellation of Draft campaigns is permanent
- Submitted campaigns cannot be cancelled or withdrawn
- Online campaigns can be paused anytime to prevent further spend
- If a campaign should not proceed after submission, follow operational guidance or contact support
