Do I need approvals for everything?

No — not everything requires approval.

Approvals depend on the brand, campaign type, budget, and level of customization.

If approval is required, the platform will clearly show it and guide you through the process.

When approval is required

You will need approval if a campaign:

  • Uses co-op funds
  • Is created under a brand-managed budget
  • Includes customized or non-standard content
  • Exceeds certain budget thresholds
  • Uses specific channels defined by the brand (e.g. print, radio, special formats)

In these cases, the campaign is submitted for review before it can proceed.

When approval is not required

Approval may not be required when:

  • You use fully pre-approved templates
  • No restricted fields are changed
  • The campaign follows standard brand rules
  • The brand allows auto-approval for that campaign type

If no approval is needed, the campaign can move forward immediately.

How you know if approval is needed

The platform makes this explicit:

  • You will see a status such as Pending approval
  • The Submit button will trigger an approval flow if required
  • The campaign status page shows who is reviewing it
  • If rejected, you will see clear rejection reasons

You do not need to guess — the system handles this for you.

Who approves campaigns

Depending on the brand, approvals may be done by:

  • Brand marketing teams
  • Regional or district managers
  • Legal or compliance teams

Some campaigns may go through multiple approval steps.

Important to know

  • Approval rules are brand-specific
  • Approval requirements can differ between campaign types
  • You cannot bypass mandatory approvals
  • Faster approvals usually happen when templates and rules are followed
