Available Print Formats (Newspaper Ads, Flyers, and More)
The platform supports a wide range of print advertising formats—such as newspaper ads, flyers, brochures/prospects, posters, and more. What you can actually create and book depends on the ad templates your headquarter/manufacturer has provided.
What print formats are supported?
In general, you can run almost any common print ad format, for example:
- Newspaper ads (most common)
- Flyers (single-page)
- Prospects / brochures (multi-page)
- Posters
- Magazine ads
- Direct mail inserts
Important: The platform can support these formats, but you will only see formats that are available through your current template library or that you create yourself.
Why do I mostly see newspaper ads?
Most organizations start by providing newspaper ad templates, because they are frequently used and easy to standardize.
So if your headquarter currently provides mostly newspaper templates, your “available print formats” will look limited—even though the system itself is not limited.
How to get additional formats (2 options)
You have two ways to work with other print formats like flyers or brochures.
Option 1: Request additional templates from the manufacturer/headquarter
If you want to keep your advertising consistent with brand guidelines, the best approach is to request new templates.
Typical requests include:
- Flyer template (e.g., A5 or A4)
- Brochure/prospect template (e.g., 4-page or 8-page)
- Poster template (e.g., A1/A0)
- Magazine ad template (specific dimensions)
How to request a new format (recommended steps):
- Decide the format you need (e.g., A4 flyer, tri-fold brochure, 1/2-page newspaper ad).
- Collect the specifications (size, orientation, bleed, color mode, required logo placement).
- Provide an example (photo/PDF of a similar ad or a mockup).
- Send the request to your headquarter/manufacturer contact and ask them to add the template to the platform.
Example request:
- “Please provide an A5 flyer template with 3 product boxes, price area, and a QR code section. We need 3 mm bleed and CMYK output.”
Option 2: Create your own format using the Ad Designer
If you need something quickly, or your campaign is unique, you can use the platform’s Ad Designer to create a custom print format.
When this is useful:
- You need a one-off flyer for a local event
- You want a special layout not covered by existing templates
- You’re testing a new print channel
Best practices for custom print formats:
- Use the correct dimensions (ask your printer/publisher)
- Include bleed if required (commonly 3 mm)
- Keep important text/logos inside a safe area
- Use high-resolution images suitable for print
Tips for choosing the right format
- Newspaper ads: Great for quick reach and weekly promotions
- Flyers: Good for in-store distribution and local handouts
- Brochures/prospects: Best for product ranges, services, or seasonal catalogs
- Posters: Ideal for visibility in-store or in local partner locations
What to do if you’re unsure what’s available
- Check your template library first (what you see there is what’s currently provided)
- If the format you need is missing, decide whether you want:
- a brand-approved template (request it), or
- a custom design (create it in the Ad Designer)
If you share the format you need (size, channel, and purpose), your headquarter/manufacturer can usually confirm the best template option—or you can build it as a custom format in the Ad Designer.
